Yes, the regulations in Maryland allow for community solar subscribers to have personal rooftop solar panels and still be enrolled in community solar if desired.
Please note however, that the design of community solar is to reduce your utility costs and maximize your savings as much as possible throughout the year. If your rooftop panels are already covering all or the large majority of your needs, then community solar would no longer be the right fit for you. If your personal panels are only covering a small portion of your annual usage costs, please let our team know so that we can adjust your share size to best accommodate the remaining portion of your costs.
To be able to know how much to adjust your share size, please let us know the estimated amount of electricity you plan to use (and cover) throughout the course of a year.
